Canadian status
Worth Mending started in 2019 in Kitchener, Ontario. Our mission is to inspire a culture of mending and to spread the knowledge that nothing is disposable. Our core product is the Swift Darning Loom, which was inspired by similar vintage tools that had long stopped being manufactured. We created a multi-functional, heirloom-quality product that has become a cult classic in the visible mending world, with thousands sold all over the world. We still make them all, ourselves, in Kitchener using mostly repurposed materials like hardwood furniture and bicycle spokes. We also make our DIY Ornament kits, which are basically a family-friendly puzzle made from cereal boxes. They come with instructions to assemble the pieces in three different ways, each creating a different finished look for your ornament. Lastly, our upcycled wool earmuffs for your bicycle helmet are pretty niche, but super handy for cyclists who want to bike a little longer into the season. We hope you like what we do!
